An international human resource company named WorldatWork is going to take part in the National Employee Wellness Month for promoting wellness at workplace.
The spokeswoman of the company, Marcia Rhodes said that "We want to increase awareness for employee wellness and the best way to create awareness is 'prevention'. She further opined that Prevention begins at workplace as the employees spend most of their day at the office.

National Employee Wellness initiative began in the year 2009 as a collective effort of Virgin HealthMiles, an employee wellness company as well as the Stop Obesity Alliance.
Katie Tierney, the director of marketing at Virgin HealthMiles said that "This initiative is intended at raising awareness about the wellness at workplace and encouraging significance of good health. The members of this program will take part in number of wellness projects including educational seminars promoting wellness, fitness competitions and felicitation employees who have accomplished wellness goals.

Tierney revealed that the National Employee Wellness Month wasn't created randomly and in the year 2011, around 90 corporate companies and 40,000 workers actively participated in this event. She added that WorldatWork is quite particular about the causes that they collaborate with and the number of participants is expected to increase this year.
