JewelOcean Launches Affordable Engagement Rings In Pearls

Leading online diamond rings retailer, JewelOcean, has launched a whole range of pearl rings at very affordable prices. Women have worn pearl rings for more than 2000 years. Pearls have adorned all kinds of jewellery like engagement rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Demand for pearls has increased tremendously after celebrities were spotted wearing pearl rings. JewelOcean specializes in diamond rings which can be customized to the buyer's preferences with different shapes in diamonds such as pear, oval or emerald cut. In keeping with its tradition of customized rings customers of JewelOcean would now be able to design their rings with pearls at a discounted price.



Wellness Program Reduces Illness in Employees

Wellness programs in the workplace are of immense value to companies. According to PharmaCare Network community health and wellness manager, Lisa Bohrer, wellness programs enrich the workplace and give its employees the feeling that they are valued. According to her a wellness program improves the mental alertness of the employee along with his physical wellbeing and health.

To encourage employee participation PharmaCare has added incentives in its wellness programs started 5 years ago. Employees earn carrots each time they complete a wellness event which is then entered for drawing of a prize. According to Bohrer this has resulted in increase in employees' participation by 50 percent. The two most popular programs that PharmaCare employees participate in are walking programs and monthly monitoring of blood pressure. Theme walking events have been hosted like Hopping to Honolulu and this year's Marching to Mexico scheduled from 1st June to 3rd September.

The wellness program also includes nutritious cooking classes, counseling for nutrition and diet as well as smoking cessation classes. In addition to this Bohrer keeps a stock of DVDs and CDs as well as magazines on nutrition and wellness for the employees.

According to the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention companies spend roughly one fourth of their medical bills on employees with high health risks.

Marks and Spencer Venture Into Beauty Products

Marks and Spencer is launching its venture into third party beauty products. The retailer will be announcing the move in 10 days' time when it comes up with its annual results. The company has plans to go for branded beauty products of a selected range. As per the market report the beauty products would be exclusive to Marks and Spencer and would also include Nuxe, a French skincare and natural beauty brand.

Similar initiative was taken earlier in the food product section when Mark Bolland , chief executive of the company, had launched a range of exclusive international brands of food products.

However the venture into beauty products would have a cutting down effect on other items. To accommodate the launch of third party beauty brands, Bolland had to cut down on electrical and food brands to a large extent.

According to Bollard, beauty products have a high potential in the retailer's business prospects. Though Marks and Spencer has its own products in beauty and other skincare rang,e its market is small in this field. The company therefore sees a lot of scope in expanding this section by wooing its lingerie customers.

The retailer is realigning its food products department to accommodate its venture into branded beauty products.
